Terms & Conditions of Use for StudentJara Platform

These Terms and Conditions (“Agreement”) govern your use of the StudentJara platform, an affiliate management marketplace for student discounts, provided by StudentJara Nigeria. By accessing or using the platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, as well as any applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with these terms, you should not access or use the platform.

1. Overview of StudentJara Platform

StudentJara (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is an online platform that connects consumers (students) with merchants and retail brands offering discounts on various products and services. By using this platform, students can access exclusive student-only discounts on items from our partner merchants.

2. Eligibility

To use the StudentJara platform, you must be a student enrolled in a recognized educational institution. You must be at least 16 years old to use this service. By registering and using the platform, you confirm that you meet these eligibility requirements.

3. Account Registration and Use

You must create an account to access the features of the platform. When creating your account, you agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information. It is your responsibility to maintain the confidentiality of your account login credentials and to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

• Account Information: You agree to provide valid information for student verification, including your school ID, matriculation number, or any other identification requested by us.

• Student Status Verification: We may request third-party verification (e.g., from your educational institution) to validate your student status.

4. Product and Service Purchases

StudentJara facilitates the purchase of goods and services from participating merchants through the platform. The terms for each product or service, including price, availability, and discount offers, will be set by the individual merchant.

• Pricing: Prices displayed on the platform include applicable discounts for verified students.

• Payment: Payments for products and services purchased through the platform will be processed through secure payment gateways, and you agree to comply with the payment methods accepted by the platform.

• Order Confirmation: Upon completion of a purchase, you will receive an order confirmation email from the merchant, which serves as proof of your transaction.

5. Merchant Responsibilities

Merchants are responsible for fulfilling orders placed through the StudentJara platform, including product delivery, returns, and customer service. StudentJara does not accept liability for disputes arising between you and the merchant, including product defects, delivery issues, or cancellations.

6. Discounts and Offers

Discounts offered through the platform are exclusively for verified students and are subject to availability and the terms set by each merchant. StudentJara does not guarantee the continuous availability of any specific discount and reserves the right to modify or terminate discounts at any time without prior notice.

7. Data Privacy and Protection

Your privacy is important to us. We are committed to protecting your personal information in compliance with Nigeria’s Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR).

• Collection of Personal Data: We collect personal information that is necessary for registration, student status verification, and the processing of transactions. This includes your name, email address, phone number, and school information.

• Use of Personal Data: The data we collect will be used to create and manage your account, provide customer support, process transactions, and improve our services.

• Data Sharing: We may share your data with merchants only to fulfill your orders. We will not sell or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes without your explicit consent.

• Data Security: We implement reasonable security measures to protect your data. However, you understand that no data transmission over the internet can be guaranteed as 100% secure.

8. Intellectual Property

The StudentJara platform, including all content, design, features, and functionality, is the intellectual property of StudentJara. You may not use, copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the platform without prior written consent from StudentJara.

9. Prohibited Activities

You agree not to:

• Engage in any fraudulent activities or provide false information during registration or when making a purchase.

• Use the platform for illegal or unlawful purposes.

• Interfere with the operation of the platform, including any attempts to breach or bypass security measures.

10. Termination and Suspension

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if you breach these Terms and Conditions or engage in activities that harm the platform’s integrity. Upon termination, you will no longer have access to the platform’s services, and your personal information will be handled in accordance with our privacy policy.

11. Limitation of Liability

StudentJara is not liable for any damages, losses, or other consequences resulting from the use of the platform, including:

• Errors or inaccuracies in product listings or discount offers.

• Any issues arising between consumers and merchants.

• Delays or failure in product deliveries.

12. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from your use of the StudentJara platform will be resolved in accordance with Nigerian law. You agree to first attempt to resolve disputes informally through customer service before seeking legal action.

13. Governing Law

This Agreement will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

14. Modifications

StudentJara reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be posted on the platform, and by continuing to use the platform after the changes are posted, you agree to abide by the updated terms.
